About the Images

The discovery of photographs of old circular sliderules, ancient Mayan circular calendars,  and Japanese symbols on old maps inspired this series.  There is a combining of  the arts, such as music, architecture, ancient paintings, with symbols associated with the sciences.  These images also contain Japanese papers and references to Asian textile patterns.

The pictures are created on masonite and are framed in plane black wood with plexiglas.
